A delicious and healthy 5-ingredient sweet treat, perfect for the whole family!
Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized bananas
- 200 g (approx.) dark chocolate, melted
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
- 200 g (approx.) smooth or crunchy peanut butter, melted
- popcorn, chopped nuts, desiccated coconut or any other preferred toppings
Method
Peel the bananas, cut off one of the ends from each and carefully push a lolly stick into the cut ends. Place the bananas on a lined tray and freeze for around 1 hour, until firm.
Meanwhile, using a glass bowl over a pan of boiling water, gently melt the peanut butter until smooth and pourable. In a separate glass bowl over boiling water, melt the dark chocolate with the coconut oil, stirring until fully combined.
Remove the bananas from the freezer and dip each one into the melted peanut butter, followed by the melted chocolate. While the chocolate is still a little melted, sprinkle over your chosen toppings.
Return the banana popsicles to the freezer for a further hour, or until fully set. Remove from the freezer and enjoy!
