Born, raised and currently living in London, Dan Richardson’s acting career started in 2007 at age 35. He has enjoyed lead roles in several feature films – including US family comedy ‘Pretty Outrageous’, British crime thrillers ‘Retribution’ and ‘Kill Kane’ and vampire revenge ‘The Harsh Light Of Day’– as well as a recurring role in Disney’s global hit TV series, ‘The Lodge’. Also a photographer, filmmaker and animal rights activist, Dan produced and starred in the 2025 documentary ‘Food for Thought’ which explores the global shift in how we eat.
- What motivates you to eat meat free?
Priority number one for me is the animals, but love the positive impact on my health and the environment too.
- What items are always in your fridge?
Oat milk for coffee, tofu, avocados, hummus and hot chilli sauce (guess my answer to number 9).
- It’s Meat Free Monday and you’ve got a friend coming round – what are you going to cook for them?
Summer answer – a gorgeous, healthy, fully loaded super salad. Winter answer – meat free mince and mixed bean chilli with rice.
- What was the last thing you ate?
Handful of cashew nuts.
- If you had to choose only one country’s cuisine to eat forever, which would you choose?

- What advice would you give to people wanting to give meat free a try?
Do it. Start. Take the first step. Anything you hear about it being challenging of it is a myth!
