We’ve teamed up with the lovely folks at home and lifestyle blog ‘Expert Home Tips’ to bring you a fun Valentine’s Day challenge – #VeggieValentines!

Started in 2015 in Guildford, Surrey, Expert Home Tips is small team of writers whose aim is to help people save time and money, “for the good stuff”. Covering everything from how to get rid of a headache to tips for cleaning a kitchen sink, the team also love discovering new and exciting ways to be more eco-friendly. Over the years, they’ve shared ways to upcycle old items, tips on how to become a recycling pro, and ways to feed a family sustainably. And, of course, they take part in Meat Free Monday.

“We’ve always been big supporters of Meat Free Monday”, said Stephanie Cvetkovic, Expert Home Tips’ content editor. “It’s a wonderful campaign that simplifies being environmentally-friendly, making it easy and achievable for all.”

Having recently featured a roundup of 10 delicious Meat Free Monday recipes, and with Valentine’s coming up, they decided to do something a little different. Instead of spending money on expensive gifts that often go unused, they turned to their pantry for inspiration. Using a selection of everyday fruits, vegetables and herbs, they came up with some novel ways to say ‘I love you’ that cost absolutely nothing. Here at MFM we think they’re really rather ‘punny’!

Let’s go on a DATE, I’m NUTS about you, it’s MINT to be, SOYA from across the room … You get the idea: Pick a produce, think up a pun and join in using the hashtag #VeggieValentines. We look forward to seeing your creations!
