We can hardly believe it but sure enough it’s been a year since our star-studded launch in London’s St James’ Park.
Since then the campaign has had an incredible response. Some of the world’s leading authorities on climate change have now endorsed meat reduction as an effective way of fighting global warming, including Vice President Al Gore, Dr Rajendra Pachauri, Lord Nicholas Stern and Sir Liam Donaldson, while MFM’s supporters now include individuals all over the UK and around the world together with high profile supporters from Gwyneth Paltrow and Yoko Ono to Richard Branson and Jamie Oliver.
Businesses including Puma and Ocado have embraced MFM, we have joined forces with other organisations to help spread the word, and Paul helped take the message to our leaders at the highest level with his appearance at the European Parliament in Brussels last December.
I’m sure you will agree we have had a great year, and thanks to all our supporters there is a huge opportunity to build on this foundation in the next year and beyond, to create a movement that will have substantial long-term impact.
Thanks for all your ongoing support – and please keep spreading the word that one day a week can make a world of difference!
